Coyote Outdoor Living SL-Series Built-In Gas Grill
The SL-Series is Coyote’s flagship — the Gen 3 model that carries every feature in the lineup and adds several that exist nowhere else in it. Volcanic stone briquettes, laser-cut cooking grates, a built-in smoker box, an interchangeable RapidSear infrared burner, an infrared rear rotisserie burner, multi-color LED knobs, and a logo throw light that projects onto the ground in front of the grill. If you’re building a high-end outdoor kitchen and want the best Coyote makes, this is it.
Three Sizes, One Standard
The SL-Series is available in 30″, 36″, and 42″ configurations — the widest size range in the Coyote Gen 3 lineup. The 30″ model fits tighter outdoor kitchen footprints without giving up any of the SL’s feature set. The 36″ and 42″ models expand primary cooking surface for larger gatherings and more ambitious multi-course meals. All three run the same burner configuration, the same volcanic stone briquette system, the same smoker box, and the same complete feature set. Size is the only variable.
Interchangeable RapidSear Infrared Burner
The RapidSear infrared burner is one of the SL-Series’ most distinguishing features — and the “interchangeable” part matters. The burner swaps in and out of the grill, so you can run it as a dedicated high-heat infrared sear station when you want it and replace it with a standard Infinity Burner when you don’t. At 15,000 BTUs of focused infrared output, it reaches the temperatures needed for a proper caramelized crust — the kind of sear that forms in seconds and locks in juices rather than slowly browning the surface. No other burner in the C or CL lineup can do this.
Infrared Rear Rotisserie Burner — Included Kit
The rear infrared rotisserie burner runs at 15,000 BTUs of even, radiant heat designed specifically for spit roasting. Whole chickens, pork loin, leg of lamb, prime rib — the rear infrared setup produces better results than a standard rear tube burner because the radiant heat wraps the food more evenly as it rotates. The rotisserie kit is included with every SL-Series grill, not an add-on.
Volcanic Stone Briquettes
The volcanic stone briquette system is exclusive to the SL-Series within the Coyote Gen 3 lineup, and it’s a meaningful performance upgrade over standard ceramic or stainless heat grids. Volcanic stone retains heat longer than ceramic and distributes it more evenly across the cooking surface, resulting in more consistent temperatures edge to edge and steadier indirect heat for longer cooks. The briquettes also vaporize drippings as they fall, infusing smoke flavor back into the food and keeping flare-ups controlled — a system that improves both flavor and performance simultaneously.
Built-In Smoker Box
The integrated smoker box lets you add real wood smoke flavor to any cook without a separate smoker or a workaround setup. Load it with wood chips, run the main burners, and the SL-Series produces genuine smoke output alongside its gas heat. For outdoor kitchen builds centered on a single grill, the smoker box makes the SL-Series a more versatile cooking platform than any grill without one.
Laser-Cut Grates
The laser-cut cooking grates on the SL-Series are precision-cut stainless steel — sharper edges, tighter tolerances, and better contact with food than standard cast or stamped grates. Better contact means more consistent heat transfer, more defined sear marks, and faster cooking across the full surface. The matching laser-cut warming rack above the main grate keeps the same standard throughout the entire cooking area.
Multi-Color LED Knobs and Throw Light
The gradient LED backlit control knobs on the SL-Series shift color as you increase heat — a visual readout of temperature level built into the control itself. The Coyote logo throw light projects the Coyote name and logo onto the ground in front of the grill, a detail unique to the SL-Series that adds ambient lighting to the outdoor kitchen space after dark. Combined with interior halogen lighting that illuminates the cooking surface, the SL-Series is fully equipped for nighttime entertaining without any supplemental lighting needed.
Everything From the CL-Series, Too
The SL-Series carries every feature from the CL-Series: four 20,000 BTU Infinity Burners, heat zone separators for true multi-zone cooking, a thermocouple safety valve that automatically cuts gas if any flame goes out, a spring-assisted Easy Lift hood for one-handed operation, an integrated wind guard for consistent performance in any conditions, and a double-walled hood for superior heat retention. The SL doesn’t trade features for upgrades — it adds to the full CL platform.
Propane or Natural Gas
The SL-Series is available in propane and natural gas in all three sizes. Natural gas is the cleaner, lower-maintenance solution for permanent outdoor kitchen installations with a direct gas line. Our team at Fireplace Gallery can help you determine which fuel type and size fits your outdoor kitchen plan.
Warranty
Coyote backs the SL-Series with a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel frame and burners, 5 years on cooking grids, 2 years on flavorizer bars and electrical components, and 1 year on ignition systems and valves.
