Three Burners, Solid Output

The Rogue 425 runs three main stainless steel tube burners producing 42,000 BTUs across a 425 square inch primary cooking surface. That’s a focused, efficient setup — enough heat to grill properly across the full main grate, with individual burner controls that let you run different temperature zones side by side. A chrome warming rack adds additional space above the main grate, bringing total cooking area to 576 square inches. Enough to cook for a family or a small group without anything crowding.

Three individually controlled burners give you the flexibility to run direct grilling on one side and lower indirect heat on the other simultaneously — a two-zone setup that handles everything from quick weeknight burgers to slower indirect cooks, all on a grill that fits on a compact patio.

Cast Iron WAVE™ Grids

The porcelainized cast iron WAVE™ cooking grids are one of the reasons the standard Rogue 425 cooks as well as it does. Cast iron holds heat better than stainless steel grids at this price point, which means more consistent temperatures across the cooking surface and better sear marks on everything that hits the grate. The WAVE™ shape maximizes food contact and keeps smaller items from falling through.

Dual-level stainless steel sear plates beneath the grids vaporize drippings before they cause flare-ups and protect the burners below — a detail that’s easy to overlook on a basic grill but makes a real difference in how the grill performs and how long it lasts. The stainless steel version of the Rogue 425 comes with stainless steel WAVE™ grids instead, which are virtually maintenance-free and equally durable.

Built for Real Outdoor Use

The cast aluminum firebox is built for corrosion resistance and long-term structural durability — the same material used across the Rogue lineup regardless of price point. Durable stainless steel surfaces on the exterior resist weather and wear. The black version uses a porcelain enamel lid and powder coat finish that handles Michigan winters without fading or flaking.

The upgraded ACCU-Probe™ temperature gauge uses a redesigned bezel that reduces fogging and condensation — a 2025 improvement that gives you a more accurate read on hood temperature throughout your cook rather than a number obscured by condensation. The double-magnet door latch, exclusive to 425 models in 2025, keeps the cabinet closed securely every time.

Practical Design for Any Space

The folding side shelves open for prep and staging and fold flat when you need to reclaim space — making the Rogue 425 a legitimate option for balconies, smaller patios, and any outdoor setup where footprint matters. Both shelves include integrated tool hooks so tongs, brushes, and thermometers stay within reach without cluttering the work surface.

Napoleon’s roll-top lid retains heat efficiently and opens without extending past the back of the grill, keeping rear clearance tight. Locking caster wheels hold the grill steady when it’s set and roll smoothly when you need to move it. JETFIRE™ battery-free ignition lights every burner immediately with a direct jet of flame — no batteries, no repeated clicking, no failed starts.

Two Finishes to Choose From

The Rogue 425 is available in stainless steel and black. The stainless version features 7.5mm stainless steel WAVE™ cooking grids and a rust-resistant stainless exterior. The black version uses porcelainized cast iron WAVE™ grids — which offer superior heat retention — and a durable black porcelain enamel and powder coat finish that resists fingerprints and holds up against weather.

Both are solid choices. If heat retention and sear performance on the grids matter most, the black version’s cast iron is the edge. If low maintenance and long-term corrosion resistance are the priority, the stainless version delivers that.

Where It Fits

The Rogue 425 is the starting point in the Rogue lineup — no infrared side burner, no rear burner. If you want to add infrared searing capability, the Rogue PRO 425 is the next step up with the SIZZLE ZONE™ side burner included.
